A project with NGO CASP of New Delhi to create awareness regarding anaemia prevention and identify anaemia casesincluding treatment in schoolchildren in an identified slum area(Madanpur Khadar near Sarita Vihar) in South Delhi. The project has targeted 2000 schoolchildren in the age group of 6 to 18 years from the identified slum. Awareness generation activities on the causes and prevention of anaemia including menstrual hygiene are being carried out by a team of educationists from PSS with the children and their parents within the slum area. This was followed by a health camp within the slum to detect anaemia and treat or refer to higher facility for management, as well as other health problems including Reproductive Health issues and sexuality. It started from September 8, 2016 and is continuing.
